Mulled-cinnamon-cider-gourmandesante-ridersdigest

This spiced cinnamon cider is infused with anti-inflammatory and immune stimulationg roots and tree bark and helps keep you hydrated with a dose of antioxidants. The vitamin C in the cider and orange helps to boost the immune system and help repair skin cells.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter, fresh apple cider

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 teaspoon cloves

  • 1-2 inches of fresh ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder + pinch of pepper

  • One orange slice

Recipe

Add the fresh apple cider, cinnamon sticks, cloves, turmeric and pepper, ginger, and one orange sliced into rounds to a large saucepan. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Cool and strain cinnamon, ginger and orange slices. Pour into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick and/or dust with fresh grated nutmeg.
