India and Ayurveda - inspired spiced chai and warmed almond milk infused with anti inflammatory and immune boosting plant magic perfect for the colder and darker months of the year. Can also be made iced for summer time!
Ingredients
Black tea (two satchels/servings)
1 cup almond or soy milk
Cardamon pods (1-2 tablspoons)
Anise star pods (2-3)
Ground Nutmeg (1 teaspoon)
Fresh ginger (a few slices)
Vanilla (drop of liquid or a small sprinkle of seeds)
Cinnamon stick (or tablespoon
Honey or Agave
Recipe
Steep black tea in 1 cup boiling water
Add spices and seed pods to milk and bring to a boil and simmer for up to 5 minutes
Strain the milk into the tea, add a couple of spoonfuls of honey or agave, add cinnamon stick to stir and some frothed milk and grated nutmeg for garnish
